Scott Sanders, O.D., FSLS
Dr. Scott is passionate about patient care. He believes eye care is vital to his patients’ quality of life. He grew up in Gulfport, MS, received his B.S. in Microbiology from Mississippi State University and continued his education and training by earning his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Prior to starting Coast Eyes in 2011 he was the chief optometrist of the Corneal Refractive Surgery Clinic at Keesler Air Force Base. Dr. Scott is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Mississippi Optometric Association, the Keratoconus Academy, and the Scleral Lens Education Society(SLS). Having completed a fellowship with the SLS, he is the first and only certified scleral lens specialist in the state of Mississippi.
Katherine Sanders, O.D.
Warm is a word often used to describe Dr. Katherine. She takes pride in providing personalized care to her patients, believing that each patient has a unique set of concerns and desires when it comes to their vision. Dr. Katherine is a University of Kansas alumnus and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She began her career practicing in north Mississippi before moving to the Mississippi gulf coast. Prior to joining Coast Eyes she practiced in a multidisciplinary setting in Ocean Springs and Biloxi. Dr. Katherine is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Mississippi Optometric Association. She enjoys the piano, staying fit, and spending time with her family.
Keely Cox, O.D.
Originally from North Mississippi, Dr. Cox is excited to bring her passion for eye care to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She earned her B.A. in Biology from the University of Mississippi in 2020 and recently earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Cox has interests in ocular disease and specialty contact lenses. She is dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care and is eager to build lasting relationships with her patients on the Mississippi gulf coast. In her spare time Dr. Cox enjoys listening to live music with friends and family, reading mystery novels and taking her pets on local adventures.
